Meet the Staff!

Hi! I’m Bernique, the proud owner and director of Donna’s Kidz Sunflower Academy. 🌻

I have more than 10 years of experience working with children, and caring for children has always been close to my heart. As a mother of three, I understand how important it is to find a childcare provider you can truly trust. I know parents want more than someone to simply watch their child—they want a safe, loving place where their child can learn, grow, play, and feel at home.

I created Donna’s Kidz Sunflower Academy to provide the type of childcare I would want for my own children. Our home daycare focuses on love, safety, learning through play, and building each child’s confidence. I believe every child deserves to be seen, encouraged, supported, and celebrated for who they are.

My goal is also to build strong relationships with families. When your child joins our daycare, I want you to feel comfortable knowing that we are working together to help your child grow and succeed.

Most importantly, there is one thing I never want a child in my care to question:

“Am I loved?”

My name is Nia, and I am a caring, patient, and compassionate teacher who enjoys supporting children and families. I am currently pursuing my education to become a nurse midwife, which reflects my passion for caring for others. At Donna’s Kidz Sunflower Academy, I strive to create a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where every child feels valued, encouraged, and excited to learn, grow, and bloom.
